Sri away for mother's funeral in India. President Hudock asks for an email copy of the Treasury Report.
Old business: Randy on the Microsoft purchase program. Order forms passed out to those interested. We can only order once per year. Products like Office 2003 Professional, Office 2007, Windows XP Professional Upgrade, Norton _______, Adobe Acrobat. Example Office 2007--retail $700, club's price $35. Support? MS will provide limited support (to install, not use).
New Business: FreeFest report by Keith Price. He has been contacting previous table renters for renewal. Leftover tables will be offered to new folks. MFJ is happy, excited to return, will offer prize. ICOM too with 2m mobile, several HTs. $10 deposit/table. Talk it up, plan to volunteer. April 12th! Open at 9, testing at 8:30, vendors at 7. Prized donations welcome, with hand-knitted afghan by Carrol Hudock.
Tower job coming. Two truckloads down to the Jackson, MS Hamfest came back with $700. Looking forward to closing one storage unit. Moving MARA table at Freefest to the opposite side of the hall.
Joe Lwenthall: Ham training classes in progress. Now looking for general class students, for weeknights or weekends.
Billy the Memphis Firefighter went to Jackson, TN tornado disaster. Area was hit hard.
Henry Leggette: Had ARRL Board of Directors meeting in Houston. Last three winters in Hartford, got 10, 12, 15 inches of snow. Elected same officers. Joel Harrisson presided and others. Passed a motion for two assistants, asst.sec.emg.coord. Who reads minutes of board meeting? Planned change in senior dues discount. Couldn't convice A&F committee. Compromise? Delaying removal of senior discount to January 2009, instead of immeadiate. If 65 years as of January 1, 2008, you can renew for three or five years. Passed several awards. Technical awards need names submitted by March 31. Write good folks up! Push the Delta Division. Per query from President Bill, how to find applications. Henry: Search on arrl.org for "awards".
